Our Story
UniGlo started as a personal initiative of a student who wanted to create a platform to share all the things he wish he knew during the overwhelming process of applying to university. He reached out to fellow students and friends to put on the first Global University Student Conference in June 2017. After the success of that event, our founding members saw the potential for this to become an annual event, alongside other resources and event-styles which included webinars, our inaugural Approaching the Application Season event in August 2018 and our Unwind with UniGlo social event which occurs in January! Every year, we try to further our scope and create additional platforms to share our stories to motivate, connect, and empower future applicants.

FAQs
Is UniGlo a consultancy?
Nope! We never have and do not offer educational consultancy services. We are a non-profit organization run by students who hope to pay our experiences forward and help others do the same. Our aim is to motivate, connect, and empower students in meaningful ways that do not involve financial (or other) barriers to information. We just want to create a space for students to openly share their stories with others navigating their own journeys.
We design our events and resources with the goal of facilitating mutual learning, as opposed to one-directional giving and taking. We are not qualified to offer tailored recommendations to applicants in writing their applications. We’re experts of our own application journeys, not of university admissions.
How can I be a part of UniGlo?

We also run an informal ambassador program for students in high school and/or college who are interested in sharing their experiences through our platforms. Please submit a contact form through our Reach Out page if you are interested!

What does UniGlo stand for?
In all honesty, it was a very random compilation of the words University and Global, which sprouted from our inaugural Global University Student Conference in 2018, and it just stuck with us!
