“After graduating from school, I wanted to narrow my interests, while gaining real-world experience, to select a subject for university. I decided on a gap year, an admittedly rare choice for an Asian student, and worked/interned for 6 months. On applying for university my original plans were to travel, but then the pandemic hit. My aspirations changed from travelling the world to travelling to the Nether in Minecraft : ) . I entered my first year at UCL during the pandemic, doing online learning.
