Happy October!

Welcome to the second edition of the UniGlo Newsletter. With early decision (ED) and early application (EA) deadlines right around the corner, we hope some of things we're sharing this month will be helpful to you.
What We've Been Up To
Planning our first UniGlo Webinar!

Our Exec Team (Kengo, Nandini, Ja, Mimi, Am) want to share with you our college application experiences and answer your questions live next month.

We want to focus on topics like our personal/actual timelines, how we finalized our college lists, time management, and the importance of fit now that we're at university.

Please
let us know if you're interested in attending this Webinar so that we can get a better sense of what topics to cover and how many people will be tuning in. This event is intended to be open to everyone, but most relevant to juniors and seniors! More details and updates to come on our Facebook page.

What We Want to Share
for US Applicants | from Peerlift

The Activities section is an often-overlooked component of the Common Application. Although you’re only given a few words per activity, it is one of the most important sections that truly channels your voice, and is the first thing colleges will read right after your nitty-gritty personal details. This five-minute article can help get you started on something you don't want to leave to the last minute.
  from NEXSTEP 🏙
NEXSTEP recently launched their London and Dublin Summer Internship Programs. Although summer's still a while away, it doesn't hurt to start thinking about how you can make the most of your breaks. We hope these programs can give you some inspiration!

Article - Elite-College Admissions Are Broken

This article offers a rigorous analysis that touches on the Harvard Asian Admissions Lawsuit situation we noted last month. It incorporates real student voices and insight into the complex US University Application system, and discusses why the Harvard Trial is about more than just Affirmative Action.
In light of concerns regarding the United States' changing policies on Chinese applicants resurfacing earlier this month, this Wall Street Journal page might be worth taking a look at. It traces through key aspects and interesting statistics through super sleek and interactive graphics.

Non-seniors: are you an avid napper? We've got a little extra something for you—watch this video on
